Summary: It's Christmas Morning in the Barnes household, it's warm, sweet and charming. A calming and gentle morning call with family and friends. Along with a sweet one year old in full smiles.

The houses were painted in decorations, from head to toe. Lights hanging off the tree, blankets tossed on the couch from last night's family's dinner, dishes washed and quiet roam through the four walls of the small home. A metal arm wrapped around his wife without a care in the world, as she nuzzled her face in his chest. Peace and quiet as the sun shined down on them though the two front windows, grazing their faces. He groaned in annoyance and lift his eyes open, then humming a smile laying his eyes on her, “..Morning, doll…”

“Morning..” She murmurs into his chest, cuffing a handful of blankets in her arms, “..five more..”

“Minutes..? I don’t think so doll..”

“I hate you..”

“You love me..also, Merry Christmas.”

“Merry Christmas..”

They stayed curled in bed humming and talking, with a few stolen kisses until a few babbles and soft cries were heard from down the short hall. “She’s up..” Bucky muttered rolling out of bed, “I’ll be back.” He slowly opened the door to the small bedroom that was decorated a soft powder blue against white walls, toys in the corner, a changing table next to the mini clothes. Stars painted on the walls surround her name in cursive.

The shades were closed but light still shines though as if a ray of sunshine appeared following towards the curb. Bucky couldn’t help but smile as he inches over to face his almost 1 year old with starry blue eyes, brown curly hair and fist curled waving them in the air catching his attention babbling with soft cries followed in a mix.

He reached down picking up his daughter, bouncing her in his arms gently hushing her cries as she calmed down. Chuckling he said, “You just wanted to be carried, didn’t you? Attention seeker just like your mama.” She rubbed her eyes and cheeks with balled up fists tugging at his shirt, nuzzling her head into his neck. A soft giggled was heard as Bucky bounced her again. He couldn’t believe to this day how blessed he was to receive such a little gift.

Christina Barnes. To him, this was his Christmas gift, having his girls with him. He kissed her cheek a few times saying, “Merry Christmas babygirl. Daddy loves you very much.” She giggled and babbled loudly at the interaction.

Bucky followed his footsteps back into the shared bedroom, gushing with his daughter tickling her saying, “Look who wanted to say hello! Who is that baby? Who is that?”

Their little angel clapped, wiggling as she murmured loudly, “..m-m-a—mama!”

“That’s right! It’s mama, but daddy is your favorite, right?”

“M-mama!”

“Ah well..I tried.”

Jo gasps, clapping her hands leaning forwards to match the magic in the room saying, “Chrissy! Hi baby. Merry Christmas!”

“Yeah, it’s Christmas. Which means, this little lady is gonna be opening and stealing presents from Uncle Sam, isn’t that right?” Bucky said laughing, passing their daughter over to his wife.

“No daddy is gonna be good or Santa won’t give him presents.”

“We will see. And I will be getting presents today.”

The pair got up and made strong cups of coffee to keep themselves awake, trying to stay as quiet as possible since Sam was sleeping upstairs. Jo feed their daughter who was swaying side to side in her high chair as Bucky finished breakfast for the rest of them. He kept turning over his shoulder to stare at the pair grinning. “What are you grinning about Bucky?” Sam said coming from behind him, making the older man jump out his pants.

“Damn it, Sam!” Bucky laughed, handing his friend a cup of coffee, “I thought you were asleep!”

“Nope. I heard the princess was awake and woke up, decided to stay in bed a bit longer.”

“I should’ve known you were awake.”

“Merry Christmas, buddy!”

“Merry Christmas!”

Sam and Bucky walked over to their girls with breakfast in hand, as everyone ate. Later on, Sam held his niece in his arm giggling and babbling along to her wishful words as Bucky and Jo handed out presents. Everyone got a present or two, passing them around as music played thanks to Sam’s Christmas playlist ready on deck for the occasion. Bucky looked over his shoulder in glee at the sight of his best friend and beautiful little family. Jo walked over, wrapping her arms around him smiling, "What are you thinking about?"

Bucky smiled down at her in pure bliss cupping her face and said, "How lucky I am to have you and our little girl. And Sam too, of course."

"Aww, I'm lucky too. I love you Mr. Barnes."

"I love you more, Mrs. Barnes. Merry Christmas, doll."

"Merry Christmas."

Without a second later, Bucky locked his lips onto her in pure joy, feeling his chest so warm and cozy never wanting it to end. Jo grinned into the kiss, more happier than ever knowing she has everything she needs in this one room. But it didn't last long because soon enough Sam called out while bouncing Christina, "Hey lovebirds we still got more presents to open! You coming or not?"

The couple broke apart from the kiss laughing happily, walking in hand in hand to join to their family and open even more presents. It was truly a blissful Christmas morning.
