Hawkeye Episode 3 Review

Welcome back everyone! The holiday season just keeps getting better with Hawkeye bringing us another episode to watch! Last week we left off with Clint and Kate caught by the Tracksuit Mafia along with their leader Echo.

The beginning of the episode we are introduced to Echo as we find out that she is deaf in both ears and wears a prosthetic leg, which is a very interesting touch to her character. I like it because even if she’s deaf and doesn’t have a leg, it showcases how amazing she is with or without it. This woman is kicking ass and bossing people around like it’s nobody's business.

And it’s an interesting touch in the way Echo noticed Clint needs a hearing aid, seeing if she can use it to her advantage or if they can communicate through sign language but it doesn’t turn out like both sides open as an indoor fight breaks out showcasing Clint’s archery skills.

So in result we are treated to an indoor fight that leads to a car chase on the streets of New York, and it’s amazing! It’s a brilliant one-shot sequence that builds the tension while also keeping it fun to watch.

You get to see Clint working together with Kate while not being able to hear her since his hearing aid got damaged in the beginning due to Echo stepping on it as he drove among the streets of New York.

It’s fun as you get to see every trick arrow Kate shoots at the cars following them.

But what takes the cake is the PYM arrow that Clint and Kate shot in the air that made the arrow grow more than three times it’s normal size. It’s honestly amazing and I didn't see it coming.

However all that fun comes to a stop since we are shown this sweet sorta heartbreaking scene of Clint’s son Nathinal calling to check on his dad because he’s bored and wants to know when he’s coming home for Christmas.

But the downside that broke my heart is that because Clint’s hearing aid broke in the battle earlier, he can’t really hear his son’s voice. At least Kate is there to help him by writing it down on a notepad for Clint to understand.

Later on, he gets his hearing aid fixed while they’re having breakfast with Pizza Dog as Clint and Kate discuss the superhero role model element of Hawkeye.

Clint says that he doesn’t inspire people or anything, he’s just there to get the job done while Kate counters his argument saying that he is. Because of him and what he has been doing, has inspired Kate to do better and try to learn from him in general.

It’s really nice moment to bring light to within this show since Hawkeye was never seen in a lot of people’s eyes as one to look up to, it was more Captain America or Iron Man but seeing this showcases that every single one of those Avengers becomes a role model or at least inspired people to do good.

Once that scene is over we end the episode going over to the Bishop family’s huge apartment as they try to track down anything they can to help them figure out the secrets Kate’s family has been hiding. When they appear to be alone, Clint gets a sword pointed to his neck and we cut to black.

Overall I really enjoyed the episode and I can't wait to see what happens next since they left us on a cliffhanger.

What was your favorite of the episode? Who’s your favorite character so far? Anyway, ciao for now! Remember to like, share and comment!
