Welcome back everyone, WandaVision Ep 8 & 9 Recap/Review! Let’s go! If anyone saw episode 8 they know by now that that episode was basically an origin story for Wanda and leading to her creating WestView!
Seeing Wanda being nice and wanting to see Vision, to say goodbye. They let her in resulting in Wanda seeing the horror that is Vision being teared apart!
She just wants him back and Director D-Bag has the nerve to tell him, that no one has the power to bring their love one back to life?! Wanda can’t take it anymore and break the glass to see her lover close up. Wanda tries to feel him...but she can’t. There’s nothing to say goodbye to.
Then Wanda drives over to WestView, where we see the cast from her sitcom! She pulls up to this empty place and she opens this piece of paper, revealing the house her and Vision were gonna live in together!
Wanda falls to her knees, breaking down and explodes! Her powers builds the house and remakes the whole town of WestView! Then she starts creates Vision using this same magic. Wanda created Vision using her memories and such, explains why he can’t leave the Hex-and that means that her sons can’t leave either.
Girl is powerful! Vision appears looking at her and she is surprise as Wanda steps into her dream sitcom world.
Vision smiles as they sit on the couch and kiss! And as they part, Wanda is watching this all happen and Agatha smiles then disappears.
Suddenly we hear the children being chocked by Agatha using her magic! Wanda is ready to save them as Agatha say she has chaos magic, The Scarlet Witch! Ahhh! Now leading into episode 9, OMG that was insane! It quickly picks up right where we left off with Wanda vs. Agatha! After Wanda tosses a car at her, White Vision shows up having no memories of her.
Right when he’s trying to kill her, our Vision come in to save her. That’s when the real action begins as an epic fight breaks out between both Visions , and Wanda vs Agatha! It was so cool!
During the fight between the two witches, Agatha tells Wanda that there is a whole section about the ‘Scarlet Witch’ in the Darkhold! She then breaks everyone in WestView’s trance as they start to attack Wanda, it doesn’t look good at all!
Wanda then makes a decision to open the Hex and set everyone, in doing so she will cut off the lives of her family.
There’s a interesting call back to the House Of M storyline with how the children and Vision disintegrate right in front of her. It looks pretty nice!
The fight stop midway as Director D-Bag shows up (I really hate that guy!) with SWORD Agents but thankfully the twins and Monica fight them off! It was insane how Monica change her cells to slow down the bullets from hitting the shows! We cut back to the major battles, where we see Vision vs White Vision—OH MY GOSH IT WAS REALLY AMAZING! I LOVED IT! I SAW YELLING AT MY SCREEN THE WHOLE TIME. FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
But instead of continuing the fight between the two versions of Vision, they talked it out and explained to each other the situation at hand, with our Vision unlocking White Vision’s memories as he flies off and we sadly don’t see him again.
I originally thought Vision is gonna use the real life model of himself and that’s his ticket out of the hex! Wanda is merge them together! But it doesn’t happen since White Vision isn’t seen again.
Up in the skies we see Wanda vs Agatha, with Agatha craving Wanda’s power! The two witches fights as Wanda gives it all she got and when we think Wanda is down and the fight is lost...SHE REGAINED HER STRENGTH AND CONFIDENCE AS SHE REVEALS HERSELF AS THE SCARLET WITCH! HOLY COW I SCREAMED! WANDA IS STUNNING IN HER NEW OUTFIT AND ICONIC HEADDRESS! I LOVE IT!
Even the whole fight is over as Wanda makes Agatha in a prisoner in her own mind and WestView for the rest of her life. The last shot is the saddest moment in the show, after Wanda and Vision tuck the kids to bed, saying that they are a family.
The two of them have a heartbreaking conversation as the Hex close in on them as they say goodbye. I have no words.
I’m not gonna lie here and say that I didn’t tear up because I did. After saying goodbye, Wanda leaves WestView for good...
We come to a close with an end credit scene showing Wanda/The Scarlet Witch reading the Darkhold as she soon hears her children calling out to her. Of course she means that this isn’t the last we see of The Scarlet Witch. I will like to take a second to talk about the scene between Wanda and Vision, it made me teary eye and just even thinking about it.
Wanda tells Vision she lost everyone and Vision replies I never had anyone. A lovely contrast between the two of them, saying that they need each other.
Then Vision says “What is grief, if love persevering?”
And that exactly what she did in the end, she grieve and now her love is persevering into something much more powerful! Elizabeth and Paul did amazing jobs, I couldn’t be more satisfied and prouder with their performances. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for our lovely pairing...
