Another year another birthday! The famous MCU character Tony Stark, a.k.a Iron Man, is a self-proclaimed genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
Now here are the 5 reasons to love him!
Never Let The Wealth He Has Went To His Head. When we first met Tony he is known at the billionaire with power and a privilege upbringing but you quickly notice that Tony doesn't let theses like that go to his head, which the first scene we see him happily taking pictures with some of the soldiers. Tony even treats Pepper, Happy and even Parker later on like family. Also taking his team out to eat at the end of The Avengers!
Honest, Most Of The Time. Unlike other superheroes in the past movies, Tony decides not to cover up his identity of Iron Man and tell everyone at the press conference saying the most iconic line, "I am Iron Man." He knew that the public desires to know the truth, he seems to be very honest most of the time with his teammates and Pepper Potts.
He Has Very Real Struggles. Despite the money, power and famous person he does struggle. In Iron Man 2 he struggled with drinking and keeping quiet about his issue with the Arc Reactor poisoning him. And in Iron Man 3 he struggles with anxiety attacks, some PSTD and fears that carry on to the other movies. They don't always tend to show that in superhero movies but he did with his character.
Being A Father--Figure/Father. Despite all the things Tony has done and come across he never seems to fail at seeing untapped potential along with a softer side to children. Along with compassion. In his own way. Being a father-figure to Peter Parker and Harley Keener creating a bond with them which strengths when he has his daughter Morgan Stark.
Sharp Wit. Tony Stark is brilliantly smart and sharp witted, sometimes he can be very sarcastic at times. But every comment counts! While his wit did not make him a hero, it make him more likable and helps him be a source of comic relief when himself or his teammates need it the most. And Robert Downey Jr's delivery is outstanding!
And that's the end of this reading! Like Morgan Stark say to her father, Tony Stark, "I love you 3000."
